Our organisation, which was then known as Disabled Persons Regional Council (DPRC), auspiced Cooinda in 1994. Sue shared a room with Lisa Ring, the Kiewa & Ovens Valley Disabilities Group worker. DPRC shared its equipment, assisted with finances, gave administrative support, and assisted with funding submissions. The 'room at the back' was always a hive of activity with families constantly dropping in needing information or a sympathetic ear, or to assist with the newsletter, or to just have a cuppa.
